noaa zippo knife

found this last thursday on pensacola beach in florida. engraving is; NOAA SHIP PEIRCE S-328
i figure this is a weather ship of some sort. anybody have any better info?/

I also found out that the ship was renamed to "E.A. FISHER"

yep, omni is right. if it had been engraved i could find the owner and find out some more history!!
by the way this is a "gentlemans" knife made by zippo, not an actual lighter... it has a small blade and a nail file.
too bad i only had two hrs on the beach.. then back to Texas. oh yeah $.64 in clad too... didn't quite pay for the bridge toll. lol

WTG, I have a condo in Perdido Key (5min away form Pensacola) and I'm also in agreement that the toll bridges are killer. Specially the Folly or however u spell it one. 8)
