SaginawIan and I have been planning to hunt the last few weeks but the weather has held us back. Last night I gave him a call and he told me that where he's at they had 4"snow. Sunny here and the ground is as soft a butter. I'm coming down he said. We hit some of my farm sites. Pictured is the first site. I'm too pooped to clean my finds tonight, but will update with more pics tomorrow, as we hunted allllll day.
Anyway, here's a few of the finds. I'll let Ian tell you what he found.
As for me, I managed a crusty button, mini ball, couple of padlocks, grease cap for a model t ford, crusty coin, and a poor man's ring, the third from this site. (Everytime the gold wore off she must have sent him for a real one, tee, hee). You may be able to see where it says 18k.
The Yard around the house in the picture was so loaded with iron that it was next to impossible to hunt so we moved into the field around the house to pick up a few finds. Then we hit two more sites, the last of which is loaded with lots of signals. But the day was getting late so we packed it in.
Thanks for coming down for this fun day, Ian.
Thanks for looking, folks.
