I met Ron again last night after work to hunt that strip of grass where I left that 1912 Barber quarter for Ron to find! We pounded it hard the night before last but we still left a few goodies behind. I dug a 1944-S WAR nickel and a 1915-S Wheat cent ~and some more clad. The 1915-S is a pretty good one ~ my 2007 Red Book says its $7.00 in good! This one would probably grade a VF if it wasn't so corroded from being in the ground for the last 80 to 90 years!

Hey I found a 1915S one time just laying on the surface of the ground. It was at an old mine in AZ. The mine had closed in 1912 and I'd like to think some old miner stayed behind to work and dropped the coin. Poor guy but a nice find for me. My redbook lists the coin if in mint condition at about $225.

Nice finds.
