Stopped at my little honey hole tonight on the way home from work,We have been having bad rain storms all day and had a short break in the clouds so I stopped in for a quick swing. picked up 3 wheaties before the rain drove me off. first was a 1945, then a 1936, then I got what I first thought was a another 1936. I got them home and rinsed them off only to see it was a 1909. never seen one before and it took awhile and some looking thru books till I made another discovery.....The VDB is on the back and man was I surprised! just wish it had an S on it, well gives me something to shoot for now!

I found a 1909 VDB this week too. Mine cleaned up nice, but not as nice as the one that you have.
Congratulations.

Thanks for the comments everyone,I also posted a 1853 large cent and a 1874 indianhead the other night, all of these coins are coming out of the ground in fantastic condition. The soil there is very rich and black with some sand mixed in, maybe thats what is preserving them so well.My buddy pulled 3 indian heads the same night and all 3 were even better than mine! This is a large spot and I have just started to explore it so I hope the luck continues thanks again ;D
