My parks are beginning to see much more activity during the better parts of the day.
I've GOT to get the scrap cleared out so I can make quick sweeps for surface drops that occur during the summer months!
These represent two days of very short digs, never much over an hour each at 3 parks.
They were all along the path of my travels, so I didn't use any extra fuel for the trip.

It would be nice to find a ring or two, each time, but no joy!
After finding all the tabs, I'm pleased to dig a nickel, because along with the foil, I'm reasonably sure not much is getting away from me. Some of the foil is lead, from wine drinkers.

Foil is the most difficult, as the probe passes right through it, and gives only a little resistance, but may have a slight 'sucking' as the probe is pulled back up.

Most targets less than 4", but some to 6" which is tough, using a probe to dig with!
The live 30-30 round @ 3" was a surprise. Usually 9mm or .22, when I do find 'em.

Talked with the Parks guy this morning... He was all smiles and we had a nice conversation.. Whew!

I'm giving mornings a try, now, but my SS uMax does NOT like the damp/wet grass... at all!
Much falsing, and masking, because of it. Gets better as things dry up and back to normal.

Nice finds. Have you tried changing out your discriminator to avoid the trash? Do not understand about wet lawn giving you problems, I love going out after a rain, brings out the mineralization of coins/relics.

Very nice finds! Yeah it is good to get all of the trash out of the way so you can hunt for the older coins!

Thanks all for looking at my meager digs...

I usually leave my discrimination very low until I gett too frustrated at digging the foil.
...Just don't want to miss a small gold ring, maybe with a stone!

Yes, rain/wet ground can be good, or bad.
Depends on conditions, place, and possibilities.
