Got permission to hunt this older house yesterday. I could only hunt it for about a hr last night and came up with a nice 1907 Indian head. Its by far in the best condition i've ever dug. You can even see the Liberty on her forhead.
Went back today and got a strang hit on the detector. Came up penny but the area was about 2 feet wide. After i dug down i saw why. The hole ended up having 37 memorial pennys, by far the most coins i ever dug in a hole. To bad they werent all IH. Anyways ended up getting a nice 1945 Merc and three flat buttons, all with the shank still on. One is about the size of a half dollar and has a sun like design on it. Finally a fun day after skunks, TTYl, and thanks for looking.
Keith

WTG on the Indian

Actually, the IH cent depicts Lady Liberty wearing an Indian headdress..it isn't a representation of an actual Indian (which is what I used to think).

I'm not 100% positive, but I think the first button might be from the 1700s.
