Back to my favorite river bank.... MORE SILVER & ARCHAIC COPPER!

Went back to my favorite river bank this week, hit it in three differnt places & found the following stuff.

1876-S Seated liberty dime
1883 Indian head (my oldest to date)
1936 Merc
1916? 18? 19? Merc, just can't make out the last number

a super neat C&NW coat button.
a knife in the making
a 1968-69 WIS. trap tag. & about a gizzilion shotgun shells.

second picture is of my second stop, I found where someone had made a campsite in the early 60's, found the following
1939 D quarter
1950 quarter
1957 quarter
1963 D dime
1939 nickel
8 wheat pennies

Not far away I found a nice archaic copper spear point & MY MOST AWESOME FIND TO DATE............ A COPPER BEAD, MY FIRST PIECE OF COPPER JEWELRY!

Third picture is a token that I found at a homesite that I found that must date around the late 1800's or early 1900's Judging from the other items I found there. I'm thinking it's a token given to a kid in school? Anyone have any opinions?
On one side it says awarded for skill, the other says not good for cash or trade.

I love this fulltime RVing, gives me so much time to metal detect!

I believe your knife is a throwing knife. I had several like it in the 70's.

For men only , stuff like that. Very nice on all the

Agree that it's a throwing knife. You probably still find them like that. It's balanced so that it spins and sticks easily.

Awesome haul. Any hints on researching the river sites. We have the Rapahannock near my home. It's where Capt Smith and Pocohantas were during colonial times. Lots of Civil War history also. I'd appreciate any tips.

Thanks,
JB.

AWESOME FINDS!!!!!!

Those copper pieces, wow!!!

That is fascinating to find such a broad span of history in close proximity to each other (over 3 sites).

I like the copper culture artifacts. You fellers in Wisconsin can find fur trade relics, copper culture relics, and "white man" relics in one general area; I am super jealous for that one reason.
