My brother found one among a cache of 1800s coins in an old house. I took it to a dealer and he said it was counterfeit. Huh? In the 1800s? He said most of them were counterfeit in their day. I ignored him and took it to several dealers without revealing the others opinions. They all said the same thing. I pray yours is the real deal! But I would think even a counterfeit from 1652 would be worth something :-)

All the best,
