I spent 3.5 hours detecting on my own. Started in a Cow pasture field but only had a OK button & a couple of modern coins. So on my way home on the bike I decided to stop at the pipeline area & give it another go. I got a couple of scrappy roman coins & my best find in awhile;

9 sided 'ring & dot' circa 8th century Saxon Pinhead.

It my first Saxon pinhead ever & as there is very little Saxon activity where I live its the first Saxon find in months!

Seeing as this is my toughest time of year I'm happy with my persistant approach.

That is a TINY find for those iron-filled fields. BRAVO!

Is that also a pocket watch winding key in the top photo?

Congratulations on a great find. :thumbsup:
