Cru'dad is back from a break & straight out on the field with me. Spent 4 hours (8 man hours) detecting a cow field with little success. Then did an edge of a field & got 1 OK roman coin & a Medieval Lead vessel.

Unusual pewter button in the shape of a cufflink (but I'm pretty sure the shank is button like not cuff)!

I have always gone with the bird seed holder, however there is another theory; holy water holder in a Church, for dipping fingers (could be a strong theory!)
