Taking advantage of the long June days, and ring owner found.BUTTON CLEANED
Went out after work tonight for a little searching at a local school. This place replenishes with fresh drops pretty quick. The Newark Police button was a surprise I was'nt expecting. It says Newark Police on the front and S.A. French New York on the back.
On another note:
The class ring I found on Saturday http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.p...,163036.0.html
Will be returned tomorrow night. It seems it was stolen from the guys car around 5 weeks ago. He had never been to the beach where I found it. This one was a easy return since he opted to have his full name inscribed on the ring when he got it. I told him all I want in return is a photo of me returning the ring to him. I may also ask him if he knows of any old properties I may be able to get permission to hunt. Can't hurt to ask. Good luck out there.

WTG on the ring return.
I love the Newark Police button.
I work in Newark and do some lunch time hunts but never found any buttons like that. I did pull a 1865 2-Cent out of a park two days ago. Have my eye on another park but whenever I drive by the inhabitants look way too scary and with a murder two days ago outside my office it has me a little more cautious then usual.

Have you been on any relic hunts lately?

No Zoyboy unfortunately not. As I'm sure you know most farmers won't allow relic hunters on their planted fields and most of the relic hunts we do are on farmfields. I'm jonesing to get back to the real hunting but we'll just have to wait. We do have one place lined up that will be harvesting hay right around now. I'm not a big fan of beach hunting but when there's nothing else it allows for us to still swing the coil and possibly find some good jewelry. Waiting for the harvest.
Take care, Mike
