lion and castle pie...

one bit, two bits, three bits, four

lion and castle pie is what I adore

found twenty one pieces and though not a bad score,

would gladly trade them all for just twenty two more!

No didnt find them all today but I did get one of them yesterday! There is something about these pieces that I like. I think its the character. Each one definitely tells a story. Found most of them before I had a wife and kids. I like the ones with the 4 digit dates. Doesnt happen often. When I find another dated 1721, I am going to have them set in a 4 leaf clover necklace. Many of you may thing no big deal but I just like em'!

Nice work. Good luck in finding your last piece for your charm!

Hey beetle662! Kentucky is a few centuries old isnt it? I am willing to bet there are some of these in your state somewhere.

Since I hunt primarily in farm fields, they are at all depths. I have found a few of them right on the ground and just glistening in the sun while the deepest was a half cut at about 12 or 14 inches, it was just a crackle (I DIG EVERYTHING EVEN IF ITS BARELY A FLY FART IN THE WIND). We have primarily potato, corn and soybean farms here with vast agriculture fields. Some places you can drive for miles without ever seeing a home. Thank god!

Every year the farmer plows up a field, there may be another.

Thanks and HH, Gary

I'm in Northern Kentucky, (Campbell County) which celebrated it's 200th anniversary around 1996. Many Indian artifacts around here, especially along the Ohio River and the creeks that run off of it.

I'm sure that someof these are around... just gotta find 'em!

PS... watch out for them HORSEFLY FARTS!

Great finds! The best that my hunting partner, Darla, and I have come up with yet is coins and artifacts from the early 1800's. The Montgomery county, Texas area is probably not quite old enough, I guess. But, we keep looking. Again, congratulations. Keep digging!
