Newport Beach California finds. need help on strange ring????

I found some clad,trash, a cellphone that I called and the owner only lives 5 miles from my house!!!!! and I live 62 miles from Newport!!!! They are coming to my house at 3:00pm to pick that up. I also found this copper ring that is stamped size 7 and has a yin yang logo on the inside. Everything was found on all metal mode. Is this a trash ring or does it actually mean something??

The ring may have been sold through a surf shop. That logo has been used by some surf gear companies. I believe Town & Country surfboards did at one time and possibly others.
