Hotel & Casino Mt. Beacon

Found on the trip to Mt. Beacon with Bergie was this 18th. century pewter button known as the (long coat button weight). There was so much junk on the mountain near the foundations it was nearly impossable to swing my detector and not get a hit or 2,3,4...per swing all junk this button was found up the hill from the foundations. I'll post pics when the throw away camera gets developed.

Nice Button Submerged. I heard from Bergie. I want to hook up with you guys when I get up that way. That site sounds like a great place to be. Is the rust or brown color just a discoloration or did it ozidize ? I thought the pewter would stay clean even buried. HH

That is a lead weight from the bottom of a household drape. Found a few like it.
