Well, I couldn't hunt all day yesterday due to family commitments and the rain. This evening I was left to my own devices when my better half went off with a group of friends. Using the excuse (to myself) that I needed to mail a letter, I headed out to the post office and a brief stop at a local park for a one hour hunt.

I'm still learning the ins & outs of this DFX, & I've been chasing the nickel range signals when I never did with the other detector. Wound up with $2.90 in clad and a sterling chain with a charm. The chain is broken, but it says 925 Italy. I'm guessing the charm isn't silver as there are no markings on it at all.

It's not a major find in the grand scheme, but I hadda post it 'cuz it was a first, and what the heck - it got my blood going!

Thanks for checking it out, and HH to you all!

Thanks! I'm hoping to hit some old homesites in a week or two. Maybe some good old coins then....

Thanks Mark, & thanks again for the offer of the digger. I probably won't have cell service there, so my phone will likely be off. See you in a couple!

Thanks jraven! Glad the tumbler is working out for you. I usually let mine go for a couple hours a batch.

Good luck on the gold quest!
