Any Ideas Guys

Hi all, Did some hunting this weekend. I found 2 items I could use help with. First is the small button on the left. It has a solid shank on the back and is stamped Waterbury Button Co on the back. On the front it says Pennsylvania around the border of the button. In the very middle of the button it has a circle with a P and a oval wrapped around it. Then at the very bottom is 2 small letters looks Like C D but not sure. Too worn down. It may be C O. It could be P O. I just can't tell. Maybe someone here with a good button book will know from the rest of the description.

Also found what I think was some kind of pin. It looks like a sheild in shape. It looks to be made of copper because of the red color. On the back is 2 small silver solder marks were something was attached. It has the pennsylvania state seal at the bottom of it. The 2 things at the top I don't know what they represent. Pics aren't to bad so maybe one of you guys would know.

Coat of arms pin, and the button can't tell from the pic.

Could the button be Pennsylvania PD? I know the pin is a type of coat of arms but also numerous fire dept. use the Maltese cross on their badge. The button has same backmark as my old tuffy jacket. Just a shot in the dark.

That's exactly it Jeff. Do you know of a age. It appears to be old. As for the button it could be p.d for sure. I thought it was a pennsylvania's police officers button. I know it's old over 100 yrs. Just from the desighn and solid shank it has. The waterbury co made it so I would have thought millitary, police or something to do with importance. Wish I had a better pic and description for you all.

Thanks Allen, Sorry Jeff I thought you had found it on a web site. I didn't see the part where you said you just fixed my pic. Maybe if I bring this back up to the top of the page it will get more looks and maybe someone will know.
