11 silver dimes, 1 silver quarter, Indian & lots of wheats

Friday I dug 10 silver dimes including one worn Barber, seven mercs and two rosies in just two hours. I went back to my hotspot today and spent four hours there. There seemed to be far more wheats coming up out of the ground than dimes today. Every time I detect here I wonder why so many pennies and dimes and no quarters or halves. I've found one Barber quarter here until today and that was it. Today I found one more silver quarter(1951). I set my 10 silver dimes as a goal to beat today. It was tough to get up to number 9 today and then a coin spill with nickels and two mercs took me over the top for a total of 11. A nice 1914 Barber dime and a nice 1920-D merc will go in the coin album. Whoo hooo!!

12 silvers in one day, i`d have the big one, or do the happy dance.

Great finds.

That little trowel you use sure does make a big plug ;D

Very nice mix of good coins. I see you found a IH too sweet.
I think I like the IH's more than the silver people post. HH Tom

Wait a minute........is that a round about way of saying I suck?? ;D I can't wait to go back. I remember the man I use to buy my metal detectors from telling me he hunted an old apartment building lawn that was being torn down in Cinci to make way for a new road and he said he "got tired of digging mercury head dimes". I can't imagine getting tired of digging mercs.

Daytondigger,
Without giving up your site, can you tell us what type of site you're at? ie: park, school, home ect?

I'm detecting at a private picnic grove that dates back to 1900 or so. It's still in use today and you could dig hunreds of coins there each day. I've had to resort to only digging targets that indicate over 3 inches in depth. The last two trips I've been in the old parking area.
