my first gold & diamond ring

My wife was on her way home from her folks house when she called my cell phone. I could tell immediately something was really wrong. Amongst the sobs, I was able to make out that she had lost her wedding ring set. All of a sudden that big ol' sinking feeling hit the pit of my stomach. She told me where she was and where she thinks it might be, so out I go with the detector, a flashlight, and a desperate prayer. Within 5 minutes I had both rings of the set! Thank God! Now my wife is happy, I'm happy, I found my first gold and diamond ring, and my detector made yet another find that paid for it in one shot. What a hobby!

Thank goodness you found them.

Now it will be easy to get permission from your wife to go metal detecting.

This is the only hobby that you have a chance to recover your investment and make a little bit of money on top of that....I love it.

Good luck on your next hunt.

You now have a "free pass" to detect whenever you want!
I got one of those when I sold a half penny I found and made
a mortgage payment with it. LOL

Boy Howdy Cheese, So many have complained that learning to pin point the 250 is so difficult. Maybe you could give some tips on a 15 minute hunt that scores big time. Congratulations and look forward to finding more gold rings!!!

WTG on the find - I am still looking for my wifes ring.

Wow, that's really neat, Cheese. I thought when I saw the post title and your screen name, I said oh, boy Cheese found a diamond ring in that Georgia dirt. You're a hero in your wife's eye. Congrats on finding her ring.
