just a small piece that i got. the big portion of that rock had been own by old people living near the are that the stone found. it is very sharp if it is used to slice a glass.. very shiny, black color, hard rock but it can crack once for a while into pieces like a piece of glass.

for the meantime i will find a magnifying glass to shot for clearer one

I don't have any information about the current market value of obsidian, but some of our other members can probably help you.

I seem to recall seeing black obsidian pieces retailing for about $1 U.S per pound.

thanks, my partner whos on the custody of the item are seeking if it is valuable or garbage
