HUNT ONE:
A couple of weeks ago while hunting in SE Wisconsin (scored 5 Indian heads that day )
I met a person out walking his dog. After talking with him about this great hobby, he offered
to let me hunt his 1870's property the next time I was in WI and last Monday I took him
up on his generous offer.
During my 1-1/2 hour hunt, I managed to cover about 1/3 of his property and scored two
Wheaties (1911 & 1946), a 1943 Merc, a cool Manoil lead soldier, a round brass "what's it",
an iron RR spike and a heart-stopping disk of aluminum play money. . . which I thought
was a silver 3-cent piece . . . not to be.
HUNT TWO
Yesterday I met Mike out at the camp that supposedly has been hunted to death.
Mike was first on the board with a 1919 Wheat and then 10-minutes later, a supper-thin
Barber Dime (date worn off).
Ten minutes later, I countered with an UGLY Indian Head (pitted to death ) and then followed that with
my first silver half ever. . . a 1949 Franklin . . . the most solid VDI 93 reading I ever had.
Thanks for looking & happy hunting!
