the big metal chunk , rang as silver, the middle of it is very silver in color and very heavy...gregg..HH

I think Bud is right. It's an eyelet from a tarp, flag, sail or something like that.

Or it's an eye-let from a "knap sack" that civil war soldiers used!

They are found on civil war sites!

its much bigger than that, i know of what you guys are thinking ..it looks like the backside of a door knob..the part that goes behind the knob...the smaller brass item is a knob to a dresser or drawer...i am gonna take clearer pics try to find a ruler to show size also...thanks guys..HH..Gregg
