Ok, these are the result of the last three days, where I've had a maximum of 60 minutes each day to play in my back yard (Old US Military Housing in Germany). If you count the European Union as one, there are coins from 10 countries. I even got a '63 Silver Rosie. There is a Naval Button (face only) I could use help identifying (see the Picture and caption). I also found a little metal blob that I think may be silver - is there an easy way to test it? HOW?

Here is the take for 3 hours hunting over 3 days

EURO: US: D-MARK: OTHER COUNTRIES
1 x 2 Euro 7 x .25 cent 1 x 5 mark 1 UK
3 x .50 Euro 11 x .10 cent (1963 silver x 1) 1 x 1 mark 1 Holland
2 x .20 Euro 9 x .05 cent 3 x .50 pfennig 2 Spain
4 x .10 Euro 11 x .01 cent (memorial) 19 x .10 pfennig 1 Finland
1 x .05 Euro 9 x .01 cent 4 x .05 pfennig 1 Poland
4 x .01 Euro 9 x .02 pfennig 1 Czeck Republic
15 x .01 pfennig 1 Austria

Button on the left is a nice filagree one piece, the naval button is the face only. The writing on it appears to be French "CANAL DE VIEUX". Anybody have thoughts on Origin and date?

Great finds,
Think of all the US silver coins that are still there. I can't wait to get back. We gave back so many bases recently, all those coins. :o

the blob looks silver. Get a testing kit, they are cheap.

Prety nice collection of finds...a lot of digging there!

On the silver....I usually give it the vinegar bath on a sheet of aluminum with a bit of salt added test. Silver will clean up by shedding some black. This will wash off and can be polished up with baking soda.

To my untrained eye...that blob seems more a tin-lead solder drip.
