I'm going to get more juice next monday. I have a local store to shop...but maybe I should look online to see if there
are even greater savings to be had. Hmmm...I'll look at that Backwoods Brew dealie.
There should be a website that reviewed flavors...but truth be told they'd just be corporate shills in about 2 days.

I started on cigarettes when I was about 14 and by 20 I was doing cigars. I smoked my last cig ca. 1970 at age 22. The reason I quit was my wife hated it because she watched her grandpa die from the effects of smokes. Every time I lit up she'd get this horrified look so I finally got tired of it and quit.
I haven't had a smoke since but I still have dreams of smoking. I absolutely love cigars but I like living more.

I bought an e-cig at q.t. , one of the cheap $9 models .Don't even remember the name of it , ------------But it tasted like cat $H1t . After twice I threw it away , now I know you are all thinking why twice ? After 1 taste of cat ---- why another ? Because I was trying . And thought surely this was something else or not that bad . But trust me don't try the cheap $9 ones at quick trip. It's not worth it ,and besides every one knows something is wrong when you take a drag ! I do need to try a better model . If they tasted real , or at least not bad - might work.
no matter where you go,there you are!

I went with the Cig2O brand. 18 bucks for a basic startup kit or 55 bucks for the one with more stuff. Not bad at all. We've been puffing away for about a week now and smoking regular cigs less and less.
They don't quite taste exactly the same as regular cigs, but man they are close enough to do the trick.

After reading the start of this thread I went out and bought one . 20 days later it's here on my desk . Tried it 3 different mornings to start my day off 'right'.

Started at 12-off and on, here and there-smoked 32 years (about a pack a day), quit May 10, 2012 because 1) was tired of coughing my lungs out all the time and 2) boyfriend has really bad asthma. We don't live together but so what, I wasn't smoking all the times when I saw him anyway. Cold turkey, but I still get the urge all the time. My best friend tried those e-cigs, but quickly went back to regular-she said it's just not the same.
If you still smoke that's ok with me, though I do hate people who throw lit cigs out of car windows and empty ashtrays in parking lots.....
Best of luck to those of you who are trying to quit or have recently quit.

I quit smoking about 5 years ago. I picked up chewing to help stop smoking, biiiiiiiig mistake. For me, chewing was harder to quit than smoking. Tobacco free now.

I use the cig2o with the 7'S (used to be smokers choice #7)menthol e-liquid. I get too stressed out at work and I feel that without it I would have gone back to "analog" cigs long ago. I have had no urge at all to go back to the real deal after 19 years of smoking. I haven't touched a real one in 4 years. Some recent reports that I have read say that doctors that were initially against the e-cigs are now changing their views on them now that more thorough testing has been done. I am using the 0% nicotine e-liquid now and hope to give up the e-cigs eventually too. Right now it is my "crutch" for stressfull days at work so I don't choke an ignorant customer in the shop.

I have quit cold turkey and I have tried patch etc but last time I quit I used a method probably not recommended by Doctors but it worked I will tell you how. First Get some time off and take a medication you know will cause you to sleep for me it is a type of muscle relaxer ( I was prescribed this medication still am) I can take one go to sleep wake and take one I will go back to sleep it is a powerful drug. I know this sounds nuts but it works I took the pill slept then I woke I did this until I didn't wake wanting a smoke. I had slept for 3 days and I was out the hardest part of quitting once you get through 3 days no smoke it is easier to abstain make it through that first week and you are almost home free you will want to smoke really bad in around 30 days and then again in about a year if you know when to expect it you will not be so blind sided when you are hit with a craving. I don't recommend doing this with medication you are not familiar with I am prescribed this med and I am suppose to take it but it knocks me out so I take it when I just am where I can no longer handle it like the time I struggled to get out the bed for 4 hours and nearly called an ambulance to come get me. I know this is extreme way to quit smoking but smoking is an extreme problem that requires some help the benefits are just too great to give up and say I am a smoker this is my life. Not only your health but the amount of MONEY people now spend on smokes is unbelievable. My dad was a 5 pack a day for all my life we lost touch when I was an adult over 7 years went by and surprise he had quit smoking I would not have believed it but it is true even the worst basket cases can quit.

The above from cdltpx is an amazing use of a self medicated "induced coma" to overcome drug dependency and reminds me of my time in rehab. where
I was prescribed diazepam (valium) to help me sleep during the withdrawal phase of drug addiction.

Calling addiction "fulfillment" is common.

Smoker of 7 years now...Tried to quit with the E-cigs. They are not a tool for quitting! They are an excuse to get your nicotine another way the pretends to satisfy everyone. You notice your e-smokes still working when out in the freezing cold? Every wonder why it doesn't freeze? Well they add antifreeze chemicals to your nicotine liquid and they are showing that its just as bad if not worse for your lungs than the smoke. Also if one of these batteries were to leak you would be breathing in vaporized battery acid...I bet that does wonders for cleaning out the tar from your lungs. Also the e-smokes are allowing kids to smoke without anyone ever even knowing that they smoke. Your kids could be doing it right now but how the heck would you know? You wont because you will never smell it on them. Oh and "Flavors" lmfao come on kids you want candy buy a damn candy bar and quit making excuses to pretend that you quit your nicotine addiction because you haven't. Now dont get me wrong I too got tied up in the whole e-cig scene it works for a while. I usually smoke a pack a day but when I got the e-cig I only smoke a real pack of smokes in 3 months. On another note anyone interested in buying my E-light Elite smoke set? 2 batteries "Black with stealth tip" and "white with blue tip" a usb and wall charger and pocket case. Spent 160$ on it new. Ill take 50$ for it.

What worked for husband and I (both smoker's from our teen years, now in our 50's) was just put them down and walk away. I had quit once before for 23 years (yes, you read that right) and went back to them after a car accident. Now smoke free for 3 years again. Yes it's hard. For the folks that say they'll NEVER smoke again, "never say never". You don't want to smoke again, but life happens. Take it one day at a time....good luck to those who are trying to quit and those who are thinking of quitting. YOU CAN DO IT!

It's interesting how the American Constitution was mentioned recently with regard to cigarette packaging:
"RJ Reynolds, one of five tobacco companies that brought the lawsuit, has welcomed the decision, saying that consumers "should be fully informed about the risks of tobacco use in a manner consistent with the US Constitution.""
