Does anyone think/read before hitting the agree button?

A while ago my email server/site sent a new condition agreement.
I actually clicked on to get rid of the pop-up as we had to agree to the conditions.
So it claimed that it shares with the partner companies the information that we have agreed to share with them.
They listed the companies/servers and I ran through the list and counted them 330 of them!!! WOW!!!
This is just one of the things we do-a simple email site.
Now how many times have we clicked on this agree button over the years for sites, now the mining of personal information and selling our information is huge.

Does anyone really think about this any longer-or is it a case of "Oh well I haven't anything to hide" response?

Some site will allow viewing if asked agree-or disagree option. Then it comes down to a person has to on others-to play their game. (not that I game)

I heard it said, if a company isn’t selling a product, the product is you.

Kind of scary in some ways as I have always forged my own way in this world, then have it sold/traded without really knowing to whom.

I think it's "if you're not paying for the product, you are the product", but yeah, this phrase is really relevant when you're talking about free services from tech companies. Their revenue comes from selling data to ad companies, political campaigns etc.

That seems totally reasonable. Same theory.

I usually scroll through to get the bare gist of the terms and click agree.
Occasionally something will pop out that drives my interests and leads me to read further, but not often.
