Let me add, you need to write a real story, and send it to W&E. Your finds are definitely Find of the Year material. You uncovered what Rail Road enthusiasts as well as detectorists out here in Colorado dream about. Or kill. No mater how excited you are, it's not even close to what the ending story will be. I am in awe, serious awe.

Re: railroad baggage claim tags
I do believe there was a bagage tag on banner last year cause it was worth thousands.. Never use Ebay for pricing a item it is never accurate type in every tag that is different on google an search for sites that sell those tags always look at more then one site to see what the advage price is for that certain tag...
some people call me the creeper ,cuz they don't know my name or face - Alice Cooper

Re: railroad baggage claim tags
that is so cool and they are in great shape!!!! It would be interesting to find out what exactly was in that area to some of the history. Perhaps a train station at one time.

i searched old maps of the area and it shows nothing in that spot.although i found some rotted beams, square nails ,old bottles(all broken) and a silver plated cup (bent to crap)looked the cup up online circa.1860 to 1890

'Katt, I agree with curbdiggercarl. Your story needs to be in a W&E article, this is an outstanding find. Congrats to you on a great discovery, I hope you find every last one of 'em.
