    Only found 2 coins yesterday...

Spring has been slow coming to Montana, it rained/snowed all weekend. Yesterday we had a break in the weather, 61 with mild wind, so I loaded up my 2 partners (the dynamic schnauzer duo) and went to an old church I had permission to hunt, I was warned that it had been detected before, and it was clean. I found alot of pieces from when it was sided, pulled a pouch of crappe, and 1 lone Rosie, a 1961D, hey, at least it was silver. I was heading home and decided to check another one of my honey holes, a park/dam that has a fishing hole. I was hitting the waters edge where the grass is typically high, and was now matted down from the snow. I found 3 lead fishing weights, a lure, and got a dime/quarter hit and dug my plug. The signal's in the plug, and I fish out a 1918 Walker half, to say I was surprised is an understatement.

The dogs had fun, they got to see ducks, comorants, and a rooster pheasant with his head and tail feathers held high heading for the cattails, and I got 2 lonely coins, but I'll gladly take a 2 coin day like this anytime.

    Happy hunting...
