1810 Half A dollar
Found these items at the site of an old granite chimney. I detected this site about 7 years ago with my Bounty hunter detector and decided to return with my Garrett. I found all this stuff with my Ace 150.
The silver spoon is marked T.J. Brown 10 15 on the back. The coin is an 1810 fifty cent piece. It reads "Half a dollar" and "fifty cents" on its edge. Someone there driving a tractor told me the house was built in the late 1700's and that some Confederate troops camped on the farm during the civil war. Also found a silver plated butter knife and spoon, a modern key and some CW bullets.

Re: 1810 Half A dollar
Wow, great finds. That fifty cent piece is awesome. You might take a good look at the surrounding territory. If soldiers camped there you might try to figure out a logical place for their camp. Take a look at high ground or relationships to streams or springs. Way to go, I am sure you will find more neat things there.
