My MOST BEAUTIFUL SILVER COIN!! 110 BC Roman Republic Denarius
I would like to thank my friend David, for taking my to this site, that has been hunted hard before, but a long time ago.
We just started hunting and the first good signal I got was this beautiful silver Denarius from the Roman Republic. Have to do more research on it to see which family. Its my most beautiful coin, the bust is the image of Rome.
The rest of the day i was juts in awe, with a smily face all day... and still managed to find some other great finds!!
1 silver denarius probably 50 BC (pics from before and after cleaning)
1 As from Tiberius, Very bad shape
1 roman coin from Constantinus
1 childs fibula
1 Brooch, or coat pin
Pieces of other coins
Great looking Roman BC Coin ...but it might take bit of IDing there are a lot of Roman BC coins that have the depition of Roma in winged helmet, and Galloping Chariots on Reverse, with out any visible Legend..it could be very hard to ID ...Great Find...Banner

Great ID CRu Dad...went right past it..looked at that one
That is a nice coin. Certainly hard to find no matter where you're looking, as Crusader pointed out. Great history. It deserves a banner nomination; you have mine. Terrific find!

Relic Hunting
Re: My MOST BEAUTIFUL SILVER COIN!!
Now that's an amazing find Nutriasub!
Congratulations!
My vote for BANNER is in!
Dave
I love hunting old relic sites . . . as I feel
the imprint of past lives often linger there.
I view relic sites as windows to the past, sacred places
in a way, yet at the same time attesting to the reality
that the past is still very much a part of our today!
How many 100+ BC Roman Silver Denarius have been posted on here? As far as I can tell this is the 2nd one, last in 2006, from a Republic that lasted a couple of hundred years. So no other Silver Republic coins have been posted across the whole of the European members. (unless I missed a couple on the search, so lets say less than 5) Doesn't that say something?
How many GW buttons have we seen in the same period?
MODs - credit where credit is due what does this guy have to get? The votes look good enough
I agree ...but it's not the Votes in replies, you have to push the Banner Button on the left, I did
