This has been an unexpectedly productive site with 3 separate hotspots so far.

Is there anything distinctive about the hotspots as far as topography? Are the spots noticeably higher than the rest of the field? Are there boundary ditches between the hotspots? You're finds are great Bill and it really proves that your research is impeccable.

Next to the 13 button, and below the arrow head is what looks to me like an imported English gun flint.

I always check the high spots and ridges first for homesites as well as south or west facing slopes for camps. I also check the topos to see if there's a small creek or spring stream nearby and check adjacent areas of the field too. Its been amazing how many of those features have led to productive hunting lately. And of course, my specialty is finding as old a map as possible to locate the most likely areas to hunt. And to answer your other question, no, there are no ditches between the hotspots although one of them was on the other side of the road but on the same property.
