The kids at this school don't respect Abe Lincoln.

I went to a school today that is pretty modern, I'd say 70's or early 80's it was built. The land it's on though is pretty old so I was hoping to score a little silver but no luck. What I did find was 151 pennies in an area about 9 feet long and the width I was swinging the detector(about 3 feet). I spent a whopping 3 hours in that one little spot. Now I usually wouldn't post a find such as pennies nor would I usually DIG every single penny signal, but I admit I was trying to go for a record of the most pennies ever found. lol Unfortunately the rain started and ran me outta there. Other than 151 pennies I dug 2 canadian pennies and 2 quarters. Yeah, almost not worth the back ache of bending down that many times...but I did have fun I will admit.

You are a lot more patient than me...lol. I'd probably dig every one of those too, but I'd have been saying bad things for every memorial I pulled up

there's a spot at our local high school that is just over flowing with lincolns. there are so many there that after a while it just gets ridiculous. I can't dig very long because my back starts killing me. but, it's always a place to go when I'm bored.

A lot of the copper pennies read higher than a penny so I had to dig! Coulda been silver!

I must admit that I have done that too....not quite that many pennies, more like 70 or 80 at one small area at an elementary school. The kids must have had some kinda game going on there.

I remember the kids in elementary would throw pennies at each other. And I remember being the one that would go back afterwards and pick them all up!

Well one good thing is you can hit the same area again and at least you weeded the pennies or most of them out of the area!

My thoughts exactly. I turned the sensitivity way down just because there was so much. Could be deeper coin targets...this was in the back section where there was older playground equipment.
