New River site start produces some keepers

A good friend of mine owns 700 acres along a major River here. This site is unreal as it has several old sites as well as a known site of a large Indian village.
Below are some of the initial keepers including the 1830 coronet and the 1827 capped bust dime. The real surprise was the SC cuff button that was visible with the naked eye once my detector found it-beat up but an SC cuff nonetheless.
The large quartz scraper would have been a beauty but it was broken and the broken axe head was in the hole with a target.
Hope to be posting much more from this site.

A great opportunity to unlock that lands past. I would gps the locations of your finds and plot them. I am sure a story will unfold. Well done!

No doubt. There could be several homesites there and (I should have posted a pic) but a very old rock-lined family cemetery plot that until the area around it was cleared, would have been hard to spot. The main homesite has been leveled some and pushed around. Has several hotspots associated with it.
