I don't post too often but I had a great day today and wanted to share!

So I knocked on a strangers door today and got my first yes. I have only gotten one other person to answer so I was happy. The house was built in 1899 and all these finds were in their front yard that was about 15x20ft. I pounded it for two hours and my son helped. A lot of firsts this hunt. The SLQ is a 1917 P Type II. 35 Washington, 44 and 42 Merc, 53 D Rosie, and 13 more wheats! I am already at 36 for the year. I am not sure the age of the Chinese coin, but it is possibly my oldest coin to date. I am going to have someone from China give me a date on it and I will update the thread. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!!!!!

Great Day? You sure did have one! Sounds like it was a memorable hunt too with your son. Big Congrats on those finds!

Must be the year of the SLQ...a lot of posts lately of people finding these. Maybe I will find one!

    Nice finds
It looks to me like the Chinese coin is a Dynasty: Ch'ing
    Emperor: Hsuan Tsung (1821-1850 a.d.)
Reign Title: Tao Kuang (1821-1850 a.d.)
I found this website when I was researching the one I found.

Thanks a ton all for looking!

I found the coin with the characters matching 100% here http://www.omnicoin.com/coin/967179

They are saying 1821. That is my oldest coin by far now. Before that was a barber dime at 1911. Going to take a long time before I beat that!!!

Standing Lib's are one of my favorite coins to find. Congrats on a beautiful coin, and fantastic hunt. It pays to ask the question that everyone else is afraid to ask. Nice going!!!

.........I wouldnt be so quick to say,you wont beat that.If you found one Chinese coin you will likely find more and given the fact that the majority date much earlier than the one you have found, your chances of digging an older one are strong
