1838 Matron Head Large Cent
Had a long hunt with SouthJerseyJim at a couple of his pounded sites. I came away with a very nice 1838 large and a few buttons along with a very fried Indian. No pics of the buttons, left my collecting pouch in the truck. Jim had a handful of buttons. Artie

A beauty. I bet you were swinging with a little more purpose after pulling that one out of the dirt.

Great looking LC Art.
Doug must not know how to use his detector, he still hasn't found the one I planted in his front yard.

Yes when we pulled away without you I figured you had something to do. I found the LC close to where I dug the sample avon lipstick, the color BTW was coral. I was thirsty and was walking a straight line back to the truck with my coil on the ground, yep one bright and shiny signal stopped me in my tracks. The tavern site is just a ok away and the skies will open up with coins and keepers losers weepers. I have a great field for us also. See you soon... Arty

At least you've found one! Doesn't seem like there's a chance in heck to find one here. I'm still gonna look for 'em tho.
Purdy LC, Artie!

Thanks Nana, one will come your way...
