Went back to the CW campsite. Bullets and "Cannons" Civil War Token.
I had to go into Winchester, Va today where my bank is located and deal with fraud charges yet again on my debit card! After that I figured I go to the farm where there was a CW campsite located. As soon as I got there walking down the woodline I get my first bullet. As I'm walking toward the campsite area I find a few straggler bullets I missed before. I'd say a couple hours later after digging a bunch of casings and nails and rivets, I walk a straight line to the bottom of this hill in the field. I get a good penny/dime signal and I thought I had my second IH cent ever! Turns out it wasn't an IH and I didn't know what I had until I got home and did the research, turns out it's a "Cannons" Civil War Token!! Much better to me than an IH. I didn't find much after that...just a mangled bullet and more square nails. Glad I went out there today...it was a beautiful day in the 50's too. Can't beat that. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Thanks. I was very happy to see it was period to the Civil War...I actually thought the cannons were baseball bats at first. lol

sorry, cant seem to find an exact match in the red books token and medal guide, there were a few made with the "cannon-drum-flag" style. most run in the price range of $40-120.00 with a few that exceed $1,000. sorry, like i said, cant seem to find an exact match,
cool find, not many of them out there

Thanks. From what I found even the most common one is still pretty rare. With like 2,000 or 5,000 that exist.
