    1813 2nd Regiment Artillery Button

I have not posted here because nothing I've found was worthy lately. But I returned to one of my favorite spots and tried a new approach and dug 5 buttons including the Artillery button (Albert's AY 37A). My first military button from the site! I actually caught it on video!

I dug a bunch of other things lately including the 1875 Seated Dime (my first DIME Seated coin!).

Mine is on the left, an un-dug specimen is on the right.

Hey Neil, since we both use the v3i, what was your new approach?

I just slowed down and listened to the faint whispers from the All Metal channel of Mixed Mode. Most importantly, I got into the thick brush that I avoided in the past.

I also accept all VDI numbers from minus 40 to Plus 94. Many of the small pewter buttons will have negative numbers when they are deep, or no VDI at all.

Good info Neil, I havent tried MM audio yet but I always hunt in relic and dig by sound. A few weeks ago I found a seated dime at 8" and it read in the low 20's on the VDI

I am glad I am able to give you the motivation to get out and dig one. Be careful; this one almost ended up in the pile of plain flat buttons. Luckily I gave this one a second look!
