cold and getting colder 1909 Barber dime

The weather here is turning cold starting tomorrow so I went out and hit a couple new spots, first was a small park. I made it half way around before I got a good hit and turn out to be a clad dime. I was about 20 feet from the truck and got another good tone, I sure was surprised when it turned out to be a 1909 Barber Dime. The second place was a old field where I found this, any info would be great !

I have no clue what the key is about, Ceremonial key to some thing.
You had a good day for this time of year in Michigan.
The only thing I got today were cold Fingers and a pocket full of Zink Lids.
Not a good day in West Michigan.
