Ghost Town Digs August
Spent the last few days digging up the ghost town ...http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.p...c,42548.0.html
in 100 degree weather....had to wear long sleeves because the bugs were eating me alive.....But it was fun!
I go a great distance, while some are considering whether they will start today or tomorrow

Re: Ghost Town Digs August
I'm sure glad you included a link to your '06 thread. I'd venture a guess that reading Thoreau in your school days made an impression on you, because you're living that dream.
My Dad and his brothers and sister went to school in a sleigh in winter, northern lower Michigan. It had a canvas cover and some provision for heating.
I envy the heck out of you. My local ghost town (Kensington, MI, it's on the ghosttowns website) is almost all covered by a golf course and the freeway. I'm researching for any remaining parts that are relatively undisturbed.
Way to go!

Nice finds Gypsy, too bad there were no coins in that purse. Anything in that small can looking container? The sleigh is very cool, now you need an ATV to pull it, a horse would be too much of a pain in the a$$, LOL. HH, Mike

The Queen strikes again! Cool pics Gypsy, looks like you and the girls did quite a bit of digging. Not much in the way of coins?
I believe that sleigh would come home with me, too. I have no idea where I'd put it..... but it'd have to come home anyways..... LOL!

Looks like you found some really cool stuff. All that hard work paid off. I liked the pictures and the sleigh.

I like that rouge compact. I'm sure if there were coins around you would have found them.
Cool digs and I admire your determination!
Congrats on an excellent hunt!
