UPDATED Germany Finds (Part 13), Silver Alert, ID Tag,unknown coin, musket ammo

Added more pics of the unknown coin

    Hello all,
Most hunting was on post with some clad hunting on another post near Heidelberg. The coin that made my week was a 1942 dime, remember, I'm in Germany. Found it in the parade field on the way to the car. Now if I can only find that silver quarter. Also found one coin that is really worn, hope someone can ID.

Very nice finds! The German ID tag is actually a German POW tag worth some bucks, Sand found one, maybe he will give some details, he found it while we were on a hunt together awhile back. Need close up pictures of the coin in question. Congrats and HH, Mike

Cool digs! The button on the right top of the ID tag is a WW2 German uniform button . It is in good shape also.

I think that coin might be Medieval. If you post a close-up of both sides of it someone will ID it for you.

Coin with the hole is interesting, should be old. Is it silver?

ID tag looks like of POW, is it something written on the other side?

Post the front AND reverse of the coin, then you can have an ID on it. Without both, itīs a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.

I usually do my MDing near the ramstein area or more toward saarbruken. I hope I have some time when I get done from this place.. remember to leave some stuff in the ground for me

I see you have some blanks among your rounds..... The 2nd case looks interesting, I have never seen one like that. The rim looks very different to normal type rounds.
But well done on such a fantastic collection of finds. Looks like you guys are blessed with treasure where you are.

Re: UPDATED Germany Finds (Part 13), Silver Alert, ID Tag,unknown coin, musket a

Did they produce 17th century token in Germany?

If so that's what it reminds me of.

In the UK they would punch a hole somewhere near the middle of the token to cancel it. As this isn't holed near the top for suspension then the hole was made for another reason.
