Re: finally,my first gold coin.
Beauty!
How can it be you have waited 26 years to find a gold coin and some who only visit the UK on the paid holiday tours have found as many as two or three? Do most serious detector people in the UK have a gold coin to their credit, or are Americans just very lucky.

Re: finally,my first gold coin.
That's an awesome find, a big congrats to you! It will take several weeks to calm down, several months before you actually put it away for safe keeping then you will take it out on occasion just to look at it. That's how it was for me when I found my gold coin. Welcome to the gold coin club! HH, Mike

Re: finally,my first gold coin.
Now that's one heck of a keeper. Banner for sure. I have been hunting for over 20 years also and have yet to strike a gold coin. I have hunted ghost towns, mining camps old home sites and the gold still has eluded me. I wonder how long it will remain on my wish list! Congrats on such a stunning coin. HH
