"It's only after we find it that archeologist know it exist!"
Theories
Theories contain new thought and ideals, they are the building blocks towards discovering truth. It matters not, nor is it required, that the entire theory be proven true, but to the outsider what should matter most is that a small portion of it could be accurate.

A theory is just a theory, unless it is spoken by me.. If that is a case, it's "Fact, Jack".

Re: Theories
If there is some truth to a theory, then there must some theory in the truth itself..... Think about that one.

Re: Theories
Using your logical steps, then a theory is like a rumor...they contain some thoughts and ideals, which are building blocks towards discovering truths.
And it matters not, nor is it required, that the entire rumor be proven true, but to the outsider what should matter most is that a small portion of it could be accurate.
My theory is that rumors are then based on limited truths.
