If the death row bum somehow lived thru the lethal injection, and survived, but happened to acquire a disease from the needle, say HIV or hepatitis, then there would be hell to pay. The state would surely be found negligent in the matter. Such is our liberal world. It makes sense if you look at the "big picture".
