I found this 1928 Shelby County dog tax tag
on Thursday in my side yard, it was about
four inches deep and rang in on my ace
250 as a pulltab/nickel signal.
This tag is cool because Shelby county
is my hometown and it was the first one
of these tags that Ive ever found.
Thanks for looking,
Allen

LOL @ 50 months ago!

Yeah, this token/tags section doesn't get a lot of action.

Nice tag finds!

In the latest edition of Bill Bones' book US DOG LICENSE TAGS Shelby Co. Kentucky's oldest known tag is dated 1925!

Now, you need to go look for one older than 1925! HA HA HA!!!

LOL, it just hurt my feelings that
no one posted anything about that
dog tag and its been on here for way
over two years.

Do you know if mine is the oldest
one found in Shelby county?

Have a great day,
Allen

The oldest known tag for Shelby Co is 1925. But I'm sure there's one older than that out there waiting for you to dig it up!

I feel sad about people finding dog tags - Maybe a pup was buried there. OhioDeb

I like to think of it this way, the dog
didnt like to be tied to a tree and broke
loose and is still running wild and free.
Have a good one !
