From Atwood's Catalogue of US & Canadian Transportation Tokens: "Connecticut Company, owned by the New Haven RR, was incorporated in 1905 to operate street railways in this state. Until 1936 it also operated lines owned by C. R. & L. Co. It first issued tokens November 1, 1919, and operated lines in Bridgeport, Hartford, Meriden, Middletown, New London, Norwald, and Waterbury, as well as in New Haven. The last streetcar operated in New Haven on September 25, 1948.

I can't tell for certain which of the several varieties your is, but it looks to me like New Haven 305 M which the catalog notes was in use from 1919-1958. The catalog value in 1970 was 15¢.
