I just detected a 1974 dog tag. So I put it with my older ones and took this picture. its knee deep in snow here, I could not get out and detect, lol.

Always neat to find those old dog tags. I went to our local court house to see if they might have any info on a tag I found from 1929, thier records only go back 7 years! Would have been neat to see who it belonged to.

cool dog tags. i don't know about dog tags too much. age, size of town, shape of tag, condition are important factors. they do well on ebay if they are rare.
