Hello folks! I thought I would share this saloon token. I have researched it and posted a little news of the establishment, This is probably the most exciting thing about tokens, is finding and researching them. I.m hoping the historic building is still standing on 25Th ST. If it is that would be neat to show the owner a piece of history of the place and maybe give me tour.

an argument over some trivial matter
arose between them Walters sudden
ly whipped out his knlfo and stabbed

other negroes who were In the saloon
could Interfere the Infuriated Wat
ers sank tho keen point of the blade
of his knife Into the other negroo
head The blade penetrated tho
skull fracturing tho bone and leaving
a portion of tho weapon In the mans
head
Lawrence Fair the proprietor of the
saloon jumped between the men and
LaburUis was in the act of stabbing
him according to bystanders when he
was caught and held by John Miller
The ambulance was called and the
wounded negro first taken to the Og
den general hospital It was found
that ho did nol have money enough
for treatment at that Institution and
was later removed to tho county Jail
where his injuries were attended to
by Drs Green and Pldcock
Patrolman Bob Chambers found
Walters standing on the sidewalk out
side of tho saloon and placed him un
der arrest Laburtus wounds are con
sidered dangerous but lie was report
ed to be resting well late last night."
