Found a token from the Owl Tavern on school property at Renville, Minnesota. 6" deep. It has 5 on the reverse side and both sides have been hand stamped with letter "D". Research locally has not come up with whether this was ever a local establishment or not. Town had 275 residents in 1882 and 2 taverns, neither of which had the owner or tavern name recorded in town history. Present day town is 1,300 with only 1 municipal liquor store. Internet research shows closest Owl Tavern is at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, which is 442 miles away. Would appreciate any info.
