RMS QUEEN MARY FARE TOKEN

Found a small good for one fare token from the rms queen mary ,long beach, CA. I was wondering how much did a token cost back then? I think this token is from the 30s or 40s any info would be appreciated thank you. Its brown, smaller then a dime,has a cruiseliner in the middle of a globe with two slots.

I can't be certain from your description, but the only Long Beach token with the Queen Mary on it that is shown in Atwood's 3rd Edition of transportation tokens is #445D. That one, according to the book, began use on 7 Apr 1968 and has a catalog value of 25¢. It doesn't say what a fare cost at the time, but I would imagine it to be under a dollar.

I don't believe Long Beach was a port of call for the Queen Mary prior to she being bought by, then brought to, the city of Long Beach in 1967. The 'fare token' may be for a tour of the Queen once permanently moored in LB.
