I dug this today 10/30/10 any info on rarity. I have not attempted to clean it just to be safe, since I no nothing about it. Copper metal about 21mm. First for me in 12 years of digging.

Front has union in a shield 1864: Reverse reads: H Boose dealers in dry goods Lima,Ohio

    Re: Lima, Ohio store card

My old copy of Fuld's Guide to Civil War Store Card Tokens says that there are 4 types and 6 varieties of R. Boose - rarity 3. It is the only merchant listed from Lima.

"363 OH450A-2b R5 AU+ R. Boose, Lima Ohio struck in Brass. Very rare and underrated variety, just the second example I have seen offered publicly. (100-150)"
