    Re: I.N. Gulick 5C Token ???

This is "I. N. Gulick", listed as such in the "Military Tokens of The United States", but without any attribution to city/state. Obviously an early piece, from being incuse. It is also listed in "Indian Traders & Sutlers" by Walker/Zarling (both available on my web site), but without any info.

Thanks to daroofa and Google, we know Mrs. Ida N. Gulick was the Post Trader for Camp Long, Portsmouth, NH, ca. 1898. It is unusual to have a female post trader.

Now identified as to city/state, the NH collectors would be interested, and it would bring more money as an attributed token. Nice item, although suffering severe pitting from being in the ground so long.

To read the full article on Google books, search on "Ida N. Gulick".

daroofa - since will posted this at tokencatalog.com with the town of attribution, why don't you go there and let the collecting world know the source of the attribution?
