I found a palmolive token this past monday. I've seen similar ones on ebay but not an exact match.It says GOOD FOR ONE CAKE CRYSTAL COCOA SOAP FREE WHEN YOU BUY ONE CAKE PALMOLIVE SOAP. On the obverse TO DEALERS THIS CHECK WILL BE REDEEMED AT YOUR RETAIL PRICE ONLY WHEN CONDITIONS ON REVERSE SIDE HAVE BEEN COMPLIED WITH THE PALMOLIVE-PEET CO P-1012. The ones I've seen have P-1009 at the end. I was wondering about date, I'm not too concerned about value. I've seen what they are going for on ebay. Thanks

Probably mid to late 1920's. Peet Bros. soap company merged with U.S. Palmolive Co. in 1926, forming the Palmolive-Peet Co., which two years later combined with Colgate Co. to create the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company. Since the token doesn't have the name Colgate on it, I'm guessing it was issued prior to the second merger.
